Our Story
Pastors David and Karen Odem have an extensive and successful history of ministry. Their ministry began by traveling, preaching, and teaching with the James Robison ministry. This was followed by a city-wide Bible study that ministered to many people. They then served as senior pastors at New Creation Church, Riverway Church, and Riverway Church Spring Shadows over a 30-year span. All churches were located in the greater Houston area.
Over this period they were active in prison ministry, Star of Hope, and men and women drug and alcohol rehabilitation living centers located on their church property and affiliated with David Wilkerson's Times Square Church.
They currently reside in Magnolia, Texas. The Odems have 2 children and 6 grandchildren living in the Houston area.
The Gathering Church Conroe was birthed out of the Odem's desire to minister and create a God presence that reaches all ethnic and socioeconomic groups.
